Welcome to R. Stephen Dorsey Antique Militaria
As a collector for 50 years and, more recently, a serious researcher and author on U.S. Militaria, I understand what I sell and can stand behind each piece. You, the buyer, are completely protected by my three day inspection and return policy, regardless of the reason for the return. All I ask is that the item is enroute back to me at the end of three days and that I receive it in exactly the same condition as it was sent.
I have authored or co-authored the following ten books and am a Staff Editor for The Gun Report Magazine.
"American Military and Naval Belts, 1812-1902"
"American Military Belts and Related Equipment"
"Indian War Cartridge Pouches, Boxes and Carbine Boots"
"U.S. Martial Web Belts and Bandoliers: 1903-1981"
"Gun Tools: Their History and Identification", Vol. 1 & 2
"Guns of the Western Indian War"
"The American Military Saddle, 1776-1945"
"Bridle Bits of the American Military, 1776-1945" "The American Military Spur"
My inventory changes rapidly, so delaying a telephone order can lose that item you want. I try to describe all items fairly. The descriptions hide no major flaws nor do they list all minor dings, points of wear, etc., that can reasonably be expected to be found in antique items. Being a collector myself, I try not to "overdescribe" any item and will be happy to answer any reasonable question not covered in my descriptions. I have built my business on satisfied customers and I think you will be one too.
I'm sorry but I do not do free appraisals nor will I do your research for you, but I will guide you to any data source(s) that I think can help you.
I look forward to your business and your interest in our hobby.
Happy Collecting!
