Civil War McClellan Saddle Girth

A very good, solid, light blue linen girth in the military style for the CW McClellan Saddle. Probably for an officer's saddle, this has two tongued buckles, one at each end of the girth and does not have the narrow leather strap that is found in the center of military contract girths. However, there is no question that this girth is not only of CW-era manufacture but is for the McClellan as can be seen from the design and materials used. No markings, which is normal for commercially sold pieces. Such saddles and components (like this girth) would be sold by firms such as M.C. Lilley; Schuyler, Hartley & Graham, etc. A very good, solid girth.
