A very nice specimen of the early Pattern 1885 Carbine Boot. This has the second configuration of the lower strap at the very bottom of the boot to keep the carbine from turning the boot when in use. The boot has clear "ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL" markings as well as two sets of unit markings indicating use with F Troop of the 6th Cavalry. All leather is live and shows only normal crazing and almost no flaking. Full length straps. Getting very hard to find on the market today. Other views are available on request.
