Rare First Pattern 1874 Throat Lash for Cavalry Bridle Bit

Never seen for sale, the 1874 Throat Lash is shown in Ordnance Memorandum 18 as an integral part of the cavalry bridle bit and reins set (Shoemaker Bit). The two versions are shown BUT ONLY THE FIRST PATTERN IS FOR SALE. The First Pattern has standing loops at the ends of the straps and the Second Pattern has integral (sewn on) straps.
