Exceptionally Nice Pattern 1873 Bayonet and Scabbard

An exceptionally nice, early 1873 angular bayonet with 95% bright blue and a matching, early, Pat. 1873 Watervliet Arsenal bayonet scabbard. The frog on the scabbard is shiny leather and has the arsenal stamp as well as inspector's mark on the back. Scabbard body is smooth but does have some normal blue wear. However, the set must be Early Indian War because Watervliet Arsenal transferred its accoutrements manufacture mission to Rock Island Arsenal during the Indian War.
