Actually a rare cavalry item since all made were used up during the pre-WWI period and during the war with the expansion of the cavalry. 100% of the bristles and a good, solid leather hand strap that is covered with unit ID marks. The back of the brush has the oval with the US inside as well as more unit marks. Four iron rivets. Measures 8 3/4" x 5".
