12. INFANTRY Francis Bannerman Plaque with reproduction insignia. The firm of Francis Bannerman was very inventive in creating decorative wall plaques with original and reproduction insignia in the post-Civil War period. This original wooden plaque carries two reproduction early Infantry hunting horn cap buttons, a reproduction 1836 Infantry eagle hat cockade and a reproduction large Pattern 1839 Infantry Belt Plate. The entire plaque measure 10 1/4 in high x 9 in. wide. It has a felt backing and does not have a hanger installed on the back. Excellent for a martial or infantry display, a den or office.
